Your information
Basic details so we can start your file. Everything here matches what is on your NSW driver's licence and your ABN registration.
Are you applying as an individual or a company?

Use the name and ACN exactly as they appear on your ASIC record. We register our interest in any equipment we finance against these details, and a mismatch makes that registration ineffective.
Residential address
Required. Where a traffic infringement is recorded against a vehicle on our network, we must be able to nominate the person in charge of it, and a nomination cannot be lodged without an address.

Bring your taxi to our base
After you apply, bring your taxi and your original documents to 43-45 Claremont Ave, Greenacre — Monday to Friday, 12pm to 6pm. No appointment needed. Your agreement begins on the day your vehicle, your identity and your documents are verified, and onboarding can be completed the same day, subject to green status in the DVD and our internal checks.
Bring your bank details
We collect the account we pay your settlements into at verification, not through this form. Bring your BSB and account number, or a bank statement header showing them.
Will you attend our office in person for verification?
Select one
Yes, I will attend
No, I will nominate someone to attend on my behalf
Your drivers
Tell us how your vehicles will be driven. If you rent or lease a taxi to a driver, we need to know — including any rent-to-own arrangement.
Who will drive your taxi?
Select one
I drive it myself
I rent it to one or more drivers
I have a rent-to-own arrangement with a driver
A mix of the above
This does not add up
You have added 2 vehicles, but told us you drive the taxi yourself. One person cannot drive more than one taxi at a time, so one of these answers needs changing.
Go back and remove the vehicles you are not bringing on, or change how your taxis are driven — unless the extra vehicles genuinely are not being driven yet.
If that is right, tell us what happens to the extra vehicles
Select
I will be engaging a driver for them — I just have not found one yet
They are off the road being repaired and will return
They are spare, and only driven when my main taxi is unavailable
They are being sold or transferred off the network
A taxi sitting idle still costs you network fees, so it is better to sort this out now than in three months.
When do you expect it back on the road?
Written agreement required
Where you make a vehicle available to a driver, you must have a written agreement with them before they drive it. It must record the driver, the vehicle, the payments, who bears fuel, tolls, maintenance and fines, and the driver's obligation to comply with the Act and with our Safety Management System. You must keep it for seven years and provide a copy to us on request.
Onboarding and equipment
Bringing a taxi onto the network involves a fitout — livery, camera equipment, taxi lights, a tablet, a SIM, and the labour to install it. You can pay it up front, or pay a deposit and settle the balance interest-free over an agreed period.
How would you like to handle the onboarding cost?
Select one
Pay in full up front
Pay a deposit, then instalments
Deposit you would like to pay
Select one
$1,500
$1,000
$500
The deposit and the instalment you propose are a starting point, not a final figure. We will confirm the total onboarding cost for your vehicle, the deposit and the payment schedule at your verification appointment, before anything is fitted or any payment is taken.
How the payment plan works
No interest is charged. Payments are collected by direct debit, and you will be asked to complete a Direct Debit Request before any equipment is fitted. Equipment supplied on a payment plan remains the property of SYD CABS until it is paid for in full, and we register our interest on the Personal Property Securities Register.
I declare that any credit provided under a payment plan is applied wholly or predominantly for business purposes.
Operator consent
These are the conditions of operating on the SYD CABS network. Read each one — they are recorded individually against your application, with the date and time you agreed.
I will check the physical driver's ID issued by SYD CABS before allowing anyone to drive my taxi.
I will add each driver to the SYD CABS WhatsApp group for my taxi, and ask for inactive drivers to be removed.
I will not hand over the taxi for car wash, private use or relocation without WhatsApp confirmation from SYD CABS in my individual taxi group.
I will not share a fleet key across multiple taxis.
I will keep a logbook and service records for ongoing safety checks, and retain them for seven years.
I will not share another driver's login details, including any shared in a group.
If I withdraw during onboarding before it is complete, I will pay for products, labour and services already supplied.
I will keep SYD CABS updated in real time when renting or swapping between taxis or drivers.
I will make sure every driver is eligible and authorised under the NSW Point to Point Transport Commissioner.
I will comply with requests from SYD CABS within the time given, including CCTV footage retrieved by a technician and other authorised evidence.
I will tell SYD CABS immediately of any notifiable occurrence involving my vehicle or my driver, so it can be reported to the Point to Point Transport Commissioner.
I will tell SYD CABS within seven days of any change to my authorisation, insurance, taxi licence, the eligibility of any driver I engage, or the ownership of any vehicle.
I will present each vehicle for inspection at least every six months, and attend meetings by video or in person when reasonably requested.
I understand that breaching these conditions or the Operator Agreement may result in suspension of my vehicle or my whole fleet, or termination.
I understand that network fees continue until I submit the offboarding form and my account is closed.
Agreement & submit
Read the Operator Agreement in full before agreeing. A copy of everything you submit today, including the agreement and the consents above, will be available to download once you are onboarded.

Read it before you come in
Take your time with it. You are not committed to anything by submitting this application — your agreement begins only when you bring your taxi to our base and your documents are verified. If anything in the agreement is unclear, call 1300 926 117 or ask us at the base before you sign.
I have downloaded the SYD CABS Operator Agreement and saved a copy for my own records.
Your responsibilities under the Act
As an affiliated provider you have a duty of care to your drivers, your passengers and others connected with your service. That includes making sure drivers are onboarded and checked, that vehicle standards are met, and that you follow our Safety Management System. These obligations sit with you and cannot be passed to a driver.
Passenger Service Levy
All taxi service providers and booking service providers must register as a taxpayer through the Industry Portal on the Point to Point Transport Commissioner's website and submit levy returns. This is a mandatory condition of authorisation.
I have read the SYD CABS Operator Agreement in full and agree to be bound by it when my agreement commences.
I understand I must bring my taxi and my original documents to the SYD CABS office (43-45 Claremont Ave, Greenacre NSW), Monday to Friday between 12pm and 6pm, and that my agreement does not commence until my vehicle, identity and documents are verified.
I declare that the ABN I have provided is mine, is current, and is correct. I understand SYD CABS does not verify my ABN on my behalf, and that providing a false or inactive ABN may end my affiliation.
I confirm all information provided in this application is true and correct, and that the documents I have uploaded are current and unaltered.
