No
If no
You'll need to visit our office in person with your physical interstate licence and driving record. Our staff will verify the physical licence card, and you'll receive confirmation via onboarding@sydcabs.au before you can continue applying online. You cannot complete this application without that verification.
Licence expiry date
SYD CABS Service ID fee
A one-off fee covers your SYD CABS Service Driver ID.
Pay using the same email address you have entered on this application. That is how your payment is matched to your application. If you pay with a different address, tell us at the base or your application will show as unpaid.
You can submit your application before paying. Your Driver ID is not issued until the fee has been received.
I understand the $50 Service Driver ID fee is one-off and non-refundable, that it must be paid before my Driver ID is issued, and that SYD CABS will not complete my onboarding until the payment has been received.

Driver obligations
All drivers must comply with Point to Point regulations at all times. SYD CABS can immediately suspend your ID for non-compliance, and the Commissioner can issue penalties. This includes staying logged into the SYD CABS app while on duty, never smoking or vaping in the vehicle, and never touting or soliciting for passengers.
Fatigue management
You can access the dispatch system for a maximum of 14 hours within any 24-hour period. Take regular breaks — at least every 2 hours — and never drive while fatigued. Before logging in each shift, you'll confirm you've assessed your own fatigue and are fit to drive.
Code of conduct
Zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any passenger or Stakeholder. Drivers must never refuse an assistance animal — fines of up to $1,110 apply for refusing a passenger with one. Full obligations are in the downloadable contract.
Duress alarm
Your in-vehicle tablet has a duress feature — press the red panic button twice to connect to our partnered call centre, who can contact you or arrange emergency services.
I have read the full Driver Service Agreement PDF and agree to it in full — including the Driver Obligations, Fatigue Management Policy, Code of Conduct, Driver Rules, Duress Alarm procedure, and the documents listed in section 1 that form part of it.
I understand I cannot refuse a passenger with an assistance animal, and doing so may result in fines and suspension of my Driver ID.
I have read the TTSS and Cabcharge obligations in section 6. I understand I must never refuse a hiring because a passenger intends to pay by TTSS, and that I must tell a passenger which payment methods my taxi accepts before the trip begins.
I acknowledge that where SYD CABS refunds a passenger because of my conduct, the amount refunded is recoverable from me under section 7, after I have been told what has been established and given the opportunity to respond.

I have watched the SYD CABS driver onboarding video in full, and I agree to comply with SYD CABS policy and the information presented in it, including the Fixed Fare Trial Training requirement for all new and existing onboarded drivers.
Fixed Fare Trial — Sydney Airport to the CBD
Running 3 November 2025 to 2 May 2027. It applies to trips from the taxi ranks at T1 International and T2/T3 Domestic to the Sydney CBD. The meter asks you automatically when you engage it at the airport whether you are travelling to the CBD.
The fare is capped: $60 in a standard taxi, including a wheelchair accessible taxi. $80 in a maxi-cab, if there are five or more passengers or the maxi-cab was requested by the hirer. No other charge may be added — the only exceptions are a non-cash payment surcharge and a cleaning fee.
You cannot ask for extras, tolls or waiting time during the trial. The Point to Point Transport Commissioner monitors compliance through vehicle inspections, covert plain clothes operations, audits and investigations.

I have read and understood the Fixed Fare Trial rules for trips from Sydney Airport to the CBD: $60 in a standard taxi including a wheelchair accessible taxi, $80 in a maxi-cab where there are five or more passengers or the hirer requested it, no extras, no tolls and no waiting time, with only a non-cash payment surcharge or a cleaning fee permitted on top.
