A Sydney taxi network — who we are, how to reach us, and what we publish.
SYD CABS is a Sydney taxi network. We connect passengers with authorised drivers and operators across the city — everyday travel, airport transfers, corporate work and events — and we run the compliance, dispatch and support behind them.
SYD CABS is a trading name of W Eats Pty Ltd (ABN 68 649 215 967), an authorised booking service provider and taxi service provider in New South Wales. Our office is at 43–45 Claremont Avenue, Greenacre.
Every driver in the network holds a current NSW driver authorisation, and every vehicle holds a taxi licence and the insurance the law requires. We check those before a driver is onboarded and we keep checking them afterwards.
Book by phone on 1300 926 117, through this website, or from a rank or a hail. From a rank or a hail the fare is metered, on the tariff set by the Point to Point Transport Commissioner. Book online and the fare estimator gives you a fixed price before you travel, tolls included, which is what you pay whatever the traffic does.
Wheelchair accessible vehicles, maxi taxis for up to eleven passengers, and standard sedans are all in the fleet. Say what you need when you book.
Our Safety Management System is published in full. It carries the risk register, the procedures for accidents, breakdowns, fire, robbery and duress, and the daily vehicle safety check every driver completes before a shift.
Every vehicle carries a duress alarm connected to a monitored call centre, and the security camera system NSW law requires. Driver fatigue is capped by the dispatch system itself: no driver can access it for more than 14 hours in any 24-hour period.
We would rather hear it than not. Fare disputes go to the fare complaint form, anything else to the incident and lost property form. Both give you a reference number straight away and an acknowledgement by email, and both are handled under our published Complaint Handling Policy.
Where a fare complaint is upheld you are refunded within 14 business days, whether or not we have recovered the money from the driver. And if you are not satisfied with how we handled it, the Point to Point Transport Commissioner is available to you at any point.
If you hold a NSW driver authorisation, you can apply to drive. If you own a taxi, you can apply to operate under the SYD CABS badge. Both applications are online, both explain what documents you need before you start, and both end with a visit to our base to verify your identity.
The agreements, the rules of operation, the complaint policy and the safety management system are all published — read them before you apply, not after.
